Vertical Labret [possibly infected]

I had my vertical labret done in mid-March and I did not have problems with it at all. Well, besides the slight soreness and a little bit of puss. The piercer told me that was completely normal. I cleaned it with sea salt and warm water as much as I was supposed to.  Every once and a while I get a little pain in the piercing.

Yesterday it was more irritated than usual, so I finally look in the mirror. There was a puss ball on the bottom hole. I took the ring out and put it in sea salt water since I was instructed not to do otherwise. I pushed down to see in the inside was swollen, but the puss came out of the top.

After that, I soaked it with sea salt water since it's supposed to heal it correctly.  What I'm feeling now is that of what I felt when it was in the healing time period.  I thought it was all the way healed.

It's still slightly red, but I'm not sure if it's infected. Should I use any other type of cleaning or disinfectant for the piercing?  I do not want to go to the piercer until necessary.

Any suggestions?

If you are still cleaning your piercing after so many months then this is definitely the main problem.  Overcleaning is the number one problem for most piercings.

Please stop doing anything.  Salt water is harsh and retards the healing process.  Do not turn or move the jewellery at all.  Allow the body to do the healing.

Since you were not clear whether the bump was inside our outside, we cannot give you much advice on what to do to eliminate it.
