vertical hood piercing

I got my clitoral hood pierced vertically about two months ago, yet the skin supporting the piercing seems to be getting smaller.

What are the chances of the body rejecting a piercing down there? I love it and would hate it if my body were rejecting it

This sounds like the piercing might be migrating.

It is a mechanical process that breaks down the supporting tissue in front of the piercing.  As the tissues weaken from the abuse, the weight of the jewellery becomes too heavy for the little tissue to support and the piercing is lost.

We recommend going to seek your piercer so that an assessment can be made and appropriate measures taken to save the piercing.  Its possible that the jewellery could be causing your problem.  We are hoping that you are not still cleaning the piercing.

Good luck
