Vertical Hood Healing

Three weeks ago I got a vertical hood piercing from a reputable local shop. They used a 14g (12g?) CBR.

The first week everything seemed ok. Then about two weeks ago I started to get a white-yellowish discharge. It is not particularly painful but it is tender to the touch sometimes. It is slightly red around the top of the piercing but again, it is only slight. It does crust up and I take care of that in the bath.

I am taking warm sea salt soaks as directed 1 to 2 times a day.  Bottom line: Does this sound like a normal healing or could this be a problem?

Please STOP the salt water soaks, this is probably the main reason you are having problems.  This piercing is the fastest healing and if you do too much or use products like salt, you are going to have problems.

The discharge should not be happening and if it is still continuing, please seek medical attention.
