I got my cartilage pierced 3 days ago with a gun and it didn't hurt me at all. The first 2 days have been painless, but i didn't manage to clean it with any soap or anything i just keep on twisting it from the screw in the behind and applying water on it.
the third day it started hurting me a lot! i woke up in the morning and i found it was swollen and red i rushed and applied a medication cream for swellness and i pressed an icecube to reduce swellness. it's still hurting me so much and swollen, can you please reply as soon as possible?

This is one of the reasons why piercing cartliage with a gun is bad. It does not accommodate for swelling. The earring stud is made for ear lobes, not cartilage which is generally thicker than lobes.
You are or at least were at peak swelling today and this is why it is now hurting you very much.
Using a medication will not be helpful as the problem is the jewellery. As long as you have the stud in place, the swelling cannot dissipate and will hurt longer.
We do recommend changing the jewellery to captive bead rings and this will help reduce the pressure and relieve the soreness.
