Alright so about three months ago I got my nose pierced.  I went back to the place to get the bar cut shorter but it ended up being way too tight so I opted to remove it.

the hole unfortunately closed but now there's a big red bump with a white thing on it.  I'm wondering what I should do to remove it.  I bought tea tree oil and vitamin E oil today.

is it wise to just keep cleaning it with the tea tree oil or should I just let it go away on its own?

thanks in advance.

You should leave it alone, I think.  I followed the moderator's advise and my bump is shrinking.

Before reading this I decided to use the vitamin E oil treatment and I noticed this morning it wasn't red anymore.

I went to blow my nose and noticed it popped and there was blood like everywhere.  ugh.. there's still a bump and Im worried its just to get bigger again.  I dont know what to do?

You do not need to do anything at all to the bump.  The body will now take care of it and reabsorb it into the body as long as you do NOT irritate.

The Vitamin E oil is useful in some things but we have seen some problems of the oil creating a barrier and the body having to deal with the irritation and not doing the healing job.

So again, leave it alone.  Just wash your face as you normally would.  Do not pay any attention to the bump and it will be gone in about 2-3 weeks.

Tea tree oil is a great product but it is not helpful in resolving this issue either.  It is harsh on piercings generally speaking so just do not use it at all.  Its great for parasites so if you have lice or parasites, please use it full strength.  It will kill them all.
