When i get the shorter barbell put in, will i be able to play with it or no? or can you only do that will the longer one?
And do i just go back to my piercer and ask them to put the shorter one in, and you think they will charge?

Yes, you will be able to play with it, just not as much. But as time goes on, you will appreciate the shorter length.
We would suggest you returning to your piercer unless you were unhappy with them, but find someone who will change it for you. We cannot comment on what another business will charge or how much. We do charge for changing jewellery as we use tools and there is a cost involved.
