Well I got my septum pierced about two weeks ago, and now I have a keloid formed around the outside of one side of the piercing. Thing is, when I got it done I moved the first time so it came out crooked on one side. So he put the needle through the same hole where he started and made a new whole through the other side because the first side was in the right spot. The keloid has formed on the side where he went through twice. Now I know keloids can form because of trauma, so maybe it's because of this, I don't know.
I am using the LIMA (Leave It Mostly Alone) method of cleaning for the most part. I occasionally do salt water soaks and I used to clean it with nonscented antibacterial soap but I stopped the soap. There are still some crusties forming but there is no puss or anything, and it's not red so I'm pretty sure it's not infected or anything like that, but it's still a tad sore which is to be expected.
The only thing I need to know is what can I do to help heal the keloid? Like, should I be doing sea salt soaks or whatever? And if so how much? Anything else I need to know? Thank you in advance.

Just a note -- I got it done professionally.
You had it done commercially!
Keloids form as a consequence of prolonged irritation. In most cases, Leave It Completely Alone would have prevented the keloid. However, the septum is a special case.
Septum piercings are typically placed through the softer alar cartilage, just under the upper lateral cartilage. (Through the soft part right under the hard part.) If the piercer makes the mistake of stretching the soft tissues, by pulling, for better access, the ring is later pulled back against the hard cartilage, putting stress on the soft tissues by not letting them relax back to their original position. The result is prolonged irritation, and a keloid.
Given time, the tissues will grow to relieve the stress, but the keloid might become prominent while this is happening. Once healed, the keloid should slowly reduce in size. The more you try to do at this point, the more you will irritate it.
A professional would have been trained to push up on the sides of the nose rather than pulling down on the middle. I leave it to your memory to decide if your piercer was properly trained.

I'm not sure if he pulled down on it at all I can't remeber it was too painful, but I think the keloid is almost gone now so ty for your reply =]
