I got my nose pierced about 2 months ago and have only had 2 weeks of being bump free. It's too much of a battle for me. Ive tried everything(salt, aspirin, tea tree oil, vitamin e. and even after finding this forum leaving it alone ...and NOTHING!) So my keloid has won and my L shaped nose ring has been taken out today.
Im not sure if i have a keloid or from my other internet reserach a granuloma???? does anyone know more information about this. My bump is very red and it looks like theres like liquid or some kind of stuff in it. (ie very poppable) but nothing comes out. I don't want to irritate it more and im really scared this bump wont go away. Does have any insight? or bumps that have gone away stories that might make me feel better???? :(
Sorry that you gave up so quickly. Because of the problems you experienced and all the harsh products you used to get rid of the problem only made the problem more difficult to eliminate.
A keloid takes several months to completely form. You stated that there is fluid inside the bump and this means that its not a keloid or a granuloma. Its a fluid filled bump that is caused by irritation. You have been doing everything to irritate it and forgetting to let the body do its job of healing.
If you attempted to pop it, then that could explain the excess redness. We recommend doing very warm water compresses 2 times a day for about 10 minutes. You should start to see some relief in about 2-3 days. You have done alot of damage with the salt water, asprin and tea tree oil. So you will need some patience for the bump to go away.
