Just got my labre pierced about three days ago, and it's doing fine, except with a slight irritation with my gums, but I assume that'ts normal, other than that it's good. The lip skin on the backside has started to grow back over the flat area on the piercing but I've also heard this is normal in some regards too. My main question though is why cant I use Listerine mouthwash? I was told to use non-alcoholic mouth washes. Why is this so, does it hurt the piercing? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

If you would check out our aftercare, you will know that we DO recommend using Original Listerine.

The idea behind using this Listerine is that we need to supress bacteria for the first week.  Afterwards, the healthy flora will return to your mouth as you eat different foods.
