We do not recommend a woman getting a tongue piercing when she is pregnant. If you look at the fetus and how it functions within the body, some may argue the fact that a fetus and a parasite are virtually the same in definition.
The definition for a parasite may be found below. Definition number three says it all! The main factor that one must consider is that the new fetus is going to take over.
Nutrition is a major importance with the proper healing of the tongue. The fetus will in essence take all the nutrition for itself and give the left overs to the mother. Hence it would not be a good idea to try and heal a fresh tongue piercing and carry a child at the same time.
The piercing will not survive, the fetus will win.
