I have considered having my nipples pierced for quite a while, and have researched it extensively to ensure that I'm making an informed decision.
I have read through the posts here, and read repeatedly about "crusties" and how important it is to NOT touch or move the piercings, to enable them to heal properly.
My question is - if it is important to not irritate the piercings by "playing" with them - how is this affected by sex? I'm not trying to be crude, merely realistic - as someone who is married (happily), the idea that I'm going to have to avoid any contact with my breasts is a little disconcerting, to say the least!
I have a navel piercing now, and have had it for approximately 4 years now with absolutely no problems with it from day 1. I have no reason to believe I'd have any issues with nipple piercings healing, given the aftercare information you provide (by the way, should I decide to have my nipples pierced, it would be at your location, as I live in town!).
I do have this one outstanding question though - any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Your concern is valid. On the other hand, the problems that we have here are because someone has overcleaned them for sometimes many months. In order for the problem to resolve itself, we need them to leave them alone so that the body can heal them.
Our aftercare for the nipple is about 2 1 2 weeks long and then you are to leave them alone so that the body can heal them. Complete healing of any piercing is about 1 to 1 1 2 years. This does not mean that you cannot touch them or even change the jewellery, it means that they can take a lot more abuse than a fresh piercing. We treat most piercings as healed at 6 weeks; which really means that at this point, you can change the jewellery.
So as your piercing heals, you can see how much touching they can take. It really depends on you. We have some male clients who after about 8 weeks, can tug on the rings and have no problems. In many other cases, our female clients are so very happy that their nipples are more sensitive than before getting them pierced.
We hope that we have at least tried to answer your question about how it will affect you during sex. If you want to talk more about it, we suggest coming into the shop and speaking to us directly.
