Okay this is really really stupid. My sister wants to know if you can kill yourself by piercing your own lip? I told her not too but shes done so many other ones on her own and they're fine so she wants to do her lip now.
I know you're gonna say get it done by a professional but she just wants to know.

We do not agree with self or home piercings because too many things can go wrong.
If a bacteria gets into the fresh piercing and becomes infected, you can have serious problems.
You should have proper tools and a fresh needle available to you to properly do the piercing. They should also be sterilized and boiling them in water is not good enough to kill all bacteria. Neither is alcohol.
So to answer your sister's question, yes, you can kill yourself if you pierce your own lip or any other part of your body.
And yes, we will strongly recommend going to a professional to get any piercing.
