first of all, i let my friend pierce me because he wants to learn how to do it and needed someone for his first time.
second, i did not put a ring in it when i pierced it, i just put a clear plastic retainer.
third, i pierced it about 3 weeks ago and it seemed to be healing just fine but the other night when i cleaned it, it bled a little bit.
i was wondering how big of problems all of this is.

We do not recommend using retainers for any piercings as they do not accommodate for swelling. They are also not very smooth and these rough edges can scratch and cause bleeding and severe irritation.
You did not tell us what you are cleaning your piercing with and how often? Since we cannot see your piercing, we need this information so as to better assist you.
