I just got my tongue pierced today..my piercer did it at an angle. Almost close to center because I have a tongue web, is that an ok thing to do?
its kind of hard to swallow sometimes, it bleeds when I swallow hard or when something is inside my mouth.
it hurts a little bit, is that normal?
Without being to see the tongue, we cannot say why the piercer did what he she did. If it continues to hurt then we recommend returning to your piercer and discussing possibly removal and repiercing because if the angle is too slanted, the pain will not go away but could get worse and even tear the tongue.
The bleeding is normal for the first day or so, but again, if this continues longer, then there is a problem and you should consult with the piercer.
Swallowing has been difficult especially if you pulled back on your tongue when the piercing took place. This will subside as this is bruising to the back of your throat.
Hope we have helped.
