So i got my hood pierced vertically about a month and a half ago. Within a week the inside of my lips were really irritated and itchy and kinda had a weird smell (as gross as it is). My hood also burns and kinda hurts at the top where the hole is if my legs are closed too long and burns if i move the ring especially dry but even in the shower too. The irritaion has gone away for the most part but its still a little itchy and burny towards the top where my hood is along with the smell. I dont think its a regular vaginal infection because im having no problems inside. Not sure if its the metal thats causing a different reaction with my skin to cause the smell or burning? but i think after a month and a half it should be healed but the hole still tends to burn. My boyfriend comes back from a deployment in a few months and i really wanna try it out since i got it after he left, but im not going to be able to if it burns or smells because im not gonna want to let him go down there. Any reasons why it atleast still burns? I cared for it with some salt water washes and then just regular soap in the shower like i was told but im not successful with the healing process.
