Due to the design of the jewellery, the soap and polysporin aftercare is not suitable in this case.  What we mean by this is that the jewellery cannot be properly flossed through the piercing, therefore any movement in the jewellery may be irritating to your new piercing.

We suggest that you do not clean your piercing in any way.  General hygiene is sufficient  A few things to note:

1. Even though we recommend leaving your piercing alone, become aware of it.  The reason for this comes into play when you are washing your face.  Any fabric can snag on the jewellery and can cause it to pull it out.

2. If this happens, we suggest making an attempt to insert the jewellery.  Although this is difficult, don't stress over it.  If you are unable to do, put in a straight stud and go to your piercer.  Do not spend a lot of time in your attempts because the more you irritate it the harder it will to get the nostril screw back in your nose.

3. Keep makeup and other facial applications away from your piercing for the first few days.  They may get trapped inside and cause more irritation.

4. Blow your nose carefully.  We also suggest using a Q-tip to remove trapped mucus.

On a side note:

In a few cases, a red bump can develop around the piercing.  If this happens, it usually occurs within the first two months.  It basically looks like a small red pimple.  DO NOT POP IT!  The bump is merely a sign of irritation, usually caused by friction or bumping it around too much.  Leave it alone!  If the bump persists, write to us directly and we will assist you personnally.
