Ok, I got my tragus pierced on Friday, and it is now Monday night.

I got it done with a barbell and the aftercare is to clean it twice a day with Tea Tree Oil Soap.

It bled a lot when I got it pierced, and it hasn't really bled since then. Although tonight it began to bleed and it won't seem to stop. Not a lot of bleeding but a small part around the piercing is red and sore and a bit swollen. As well it just seems to bleed and dried blood get arounds the piercing. When I use a tissue to get rid of the dry blood it just starts continues to bleed more.

Any adivce, or is thise normal within the first week of a fresh tragus piercing?

Part of your problem is the type of soap you are using.  Tea Tree oil is a great product if you have parasites like lice.  Its too harsh for a delicate fresh piercing.  Please switch to a mild antibiotic liquid soap like SoftSoap.

Second, you got done with a barbell and it is difficult to clean when you have a barbell, especially if it is a snug fit and leaves no room to move the barbell.

The reason why you bleed is you do not properly soften the dried blood, you use a tisssue and this is abbrasive and when the dried blood is removed, it tears the fresh skin and the process of bleeding starts all over again.

Please take a warm cloth and lay it on top of the piercing so that the dried blood will soften then take a Q-tip and gently remove it.  Because you have a barbell, spinning it when you clean with the soap will be sufficient but spin for only half a dozen times then rinse.

Please look at our aftercare section for Cartilage piercings for the complete aftercare.
