Hey there. I just got my eyebrow pierced a few days ago, and it's my first piercing aside from my ears.
I got this nifty little sheet of paper telling me how to care for it, not to move it..clean it once a day and such. I've been following that, but it's really hard to keep it from moving, especially while cleaning. I'm afraid I'm moving it to much, any tips on keeping it still?
Also, when I wake up I find it's usually bled alittle..is that ok? I have not really had any other kind of discharge or "crusties" other than blood. I'm also having a hard time removing the blood from the top and bottom of the piercing.
I'm new at all this.
You have not told us what type of jewellery you have in your piercing. If its a ring, then the ring is used to 'floss' the soap through the piercing and for rinsing as well. So moving the jewellery while cleaning is important. We need to have your aftercare in order to better assist you.
We have a section in this forum called Blackstar Aftercare and there is a part for soft tissue (eyebrow) and please have a read and compare to your aftercare.
The eyebrow is sensitive because it is easily hit and bleeds; this may result in a 'black eye'. If you are still getting blood in the morning, then you must be either sleeping on it or injurying it while you are sleeping that is resulting in blood.
Since you are having problems removing the dried blood, we recommend you putting a warm cloth on the piercing. Once the blood is soften, take a Q-tip and remove them. This should be less problematic and make cleaning easier.
Keep in touch.
I went in to see them and they said that there was nothing wrong and sometimes the ring doesn't settle depending on how tight your skin is around that area... everything is fine now thanks for your help
Glad to read that your piercing is doing well.
i just have one more question about this.. why did you say that something wasn't right because it wasn't settled, but then when i went there they said everything was really good. it doesn't always settle depending on how tight your skin is?
Generally the piercing settles but in some cases it does not as the piercers said, depending on the skin. Since we could not see the piercing, we wrote about what the majority of piercings should look like.
That is why we recommended that you go to Blackstar and let them take a look at it. Our advice is given by what you write and we respond as best as we can. Seeing the piercing is the best approach and since you had it done at Blackstar, you received the best advice possible; others can only depend on our words.
Thanks alot. I have a bar, sorry i didn't put that. the bleedings stopped, and i do have a bruise, but it's already going away.
it still hurts alot when touched. i'm just giving it more time. thanks again.
Glad to read that the bleeding has stopped. Yes, this piercing does bruise more than others. Please be patient. We hope that our recommendations are helping you deal with the issues you experienced.
Keep in touch.
Hey I just got my eyebrow pierced on thursday and it was all good, no pain but i woke up today with a little bit of brusing but it's right above my eye lashes and my ring still isn't settled i was told after 2 days it would be...
jenn did the piercing and did an amazing job thanks!
Sorry about the delay in writing. How is the piercing doing now? Have you gone into BlackStar and gotten a check up? Has the ring settled yet?
Glad that you are happy with the piercing.
hi it's okay... no the ring hasn't settled yet and it's infected... not to much puss but whole eye is puffy...with a little bit of bruising...
Have you gone back to Blackstar or at least called and spoken to one of the piercers? If no, please do so. This is too long for the piercing to settle and this means that something is not right.
well my eyebrow isn't infected anymore but i'm going down on saturday because of it not being settled.
Good, they will be able to see it and find out what your problem is.
