hi, i had my eyebrow pierced about a week ago. it seems fine, has no puss, swelling went down after 1 day, does not feel irritated, itchy or sore, but i do have some slight bruising under my eyebrow, just above the lid. ive been sleeping on the other side, so i dont see how that caused it. I cleaned it with antibacterial wipes 2 times a day for 3 days, now i just use salty water once a day. is this what i should be doing?
also, not that i want to at the moment, but once its completely healed, how long will it take to close back up when i take it out, (say in a few years, after uni)? and will it leave a very noticeable hole?
thanks

Please check out our aftercare for the eyebrow piercing.  We do not recommend using salt water at all as it dries out the tissues and is a harsh product.

Bruising for this piercing is common as many people have blood vessels around the eye and when you were pierced it may have been pierced, resulting in bruising.  Peak swelling occurs on day 3 of any piercing, so you will be feeling that as well.

Any piercing takes a full year to completely heal, meaning that the granulation tissue is completely formed.  If you remove the piercing before this is complete, then your piercing will close completely.  If you have it for over a year, the piercing will shrink so you should only see a couple of dots, but the piercing may be there just not too noticable.
