Hey im plannin on gettin my tongue pierecd but one of my main concerns is the veins in my tongue and the possible damage tha can be done to then if the needle hits them. Most pierecing are done in the center of the tongue but...there is a vein that runs in the center of the tongue i can clearly see mine from the bottom. how should it be pierced (a little to the side of the vein or what? i dont want my piercing to look wired) And would u reccommend antibiotics after the piercing is done?

Its not the vein that you have to be concerned with its an artery.  If you look in a mirror and lift your tongue.  You will see an indent between the 2 muscles.  That is where we pierce and where we believe that most do.  Do not worry.  A vein will stop bleeding.  Have you ever had blood taken from you for a test - its a vein that they take it from.  Once the needle is removed, the bleeding is more or less stopped.

We do NOT recommend taking antibiotics as this will lower your resistance and not a good idea.

We DO recommend that you follow our aftercare listed on our forum.
