I got a vertical hood pierceing yesterday, I went to a very reputable piercer who has been pierceing for over 10 years.
However I was so nervous I forgot some of the aftercare (I remember most) and was wondering that although he said I can stay active once I am careful no direct pressure is put on piercing until healed why cant I let my partners semen some in contact?
Is there a reason other than STD's and STI's? Or does it aggrevate healing? How long do I have to wait before I mastrubate? Also before he did piercing he asked if I was travelling within next few weeks I wasnt however today I was told I have to go to meeting and fly there (3 4 hr flight x2 in one day) four days after I got pierced.
And finally (sorry for all this) My aftercare is nothing like any other I've seen on net where my piercer said to use my own urine for cleaning piercing as this is sterile, to discard first few drops and use the rest x 3 daily, its working fine for me and seems healthy and clean so far just nervous from not reading it anywhere.
Does this seem like okay way to look after it? Thanks a million!
This is the fastest healing piercing. The aftercare is just cleaning it with soap and water (we recommend using Softsoap). By the end of the week, just normal hygiene is necessary. This means not to turn the ring when cleaning the area, just soaping it and allowing water to run over it.
Urine is always cleaning your piercing because of the location of the ring, each time you pee, you will get it either in or around the piercing. Stop doing anything as of this moment other than what you did before you got the piercing.
Travelling, we believe, he was talking about leaving the country in areas where clean water is unavailable.
With respect to masturbation, our recommendation is if it HURTS!!! STOP!!! otherwise, take it easy until you get use to the new jewellery and possible new feeling.
With respect to the semen, he was probably worried about it irritating the delicate tissues, but we recommend waiting about 1 week. As of yet, our clients have told us that they started again after 3-4 days without any problems.
