Are there any lip balms that are safe to use during the healing process of a lip ring? Namely, can I use Burt's Bees *? If not, is there any I can use?My lips are SO dry and chapped right now and I neeeeed relief.

Also, I was wondering if Lubriderm is a good moisturizer to use for the actual piercing.

*Ingredients:(beeswax, cocunut oil, sunflower oil, vitamin e, lanolin, titanium dioxide, peppermint oil, comfrey root extract, and rosemary extract)

You can use whatever lip balm you desire on your lips, those products will not interfere with the healing of the piercing.

Lubriderm is a moisturizer for the skin, you should not need to use anything other than a lip balm to help the lip tissues.  The moisturizer could get into the piercing, sting and irritate the tissues.

How old is your piercing and what was your aftercare for it?
