I got my eyebrow pierced about 4 months ago. I've had a few problems, mostly continuous pussing. I've posted here quite a few times asking how to get it to stop pussing. It wasn't an infection, because the piercing was not red or swollen.
Well, I eventually got the piercing to stop pussing, so I bought a curved barbell to put in it. Actually, I bought the barbell from you. So I went to the nearest piercing salon to get them to change it, and they said that it looks like I have an ingrown hair around the bottom entry hole, because there's a raised bump around it. They recommended sea salt soaks, which I know you guys absolutely do not recommend, but I was frustrated and decided to try it. I just want to change from a CBR to a barbell!
So I started some sea salt soaks, and instead of getting better, my piercing is getting worse. It's pussing again, and is red and swollen after I do a soak. And the bump is getting worse, not better.
I read online that it could be hypotrophic scarring, perhaps from irritating it with too much cleaning. (unfortunately, I continued cleaning longer than I was supposed to because I couldn't get the piercing to stop pussing)
The site I went to recommended tea tree oil to get rid of the keloid, but I just wanted to know what you'd recommend. I'd come in to see you guys, but I don't live nearby.

Have you been able to call the shop and speak directly to one of our piercers? We wish that you would have called when the bump formed as its probably caused by the overcleaning that you were doing earlier.
You have now personally experienced the problems with salt water soaks of any kind. The bump is fluid filled with fibrous tissues ready to patch up the hole in your eyebrow. The more your irritate the longer the bump will remain as it cannot heal until it removes the irritation.
Tea tree oil is used to rid the body of lice, not heal a piercing. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. You will only irritate your piercing even more and you will do enough damage that you may cause migration.
