inserting a nose screw

I recently got my nose pierced, they used a gun, and the stud I'm sure is a regular ear stud.  I want to switch to a nose screw but cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it in.

Should I wait a bit as it seems like it is a little swollen, and how do you get these goofy things in? I have turned and turned and flipped and flipped and turned some more?   Help!

The nostril screw is difficult for most at the beginning but as you become more experienced you will be able to change it on your own.  But for now, return to a qualified piercer, not the one who used the gun to pierce you with and have him her insert the nostril screw and ask for a mirror to learn how to do it.

Please do NOT clean or turn your jewellery.  Do NOT use any product like Bactine, saline solution or hydrogen peroxide as these products will irritate your piercing.

There is no aftercare for this piercing, your body does a great job of healing all on its own.  Just wash your face as normal; just be aware that it can get caught on the towel.

It does take some work to get a nostril screw in.

Some clients just come in and have us change it for them... you are not alone!

Take care
