Injured nipple?

Hi and thanks for the great information. It has been very helpful in my healing process.

My nipple piercings are about 2 months young now and about five days ago, I fell and hit the left piercing causing a small amount of bleeding. Although the tenderness has gone (from the fall), my left nipple still has a very small amount of blood coming from one of the holes along with a larger amount of crusting (dark yellow).

Would you recommend that I start cleaning again or just leave it alone.

Please help.

Thanks so much :)

No, please do NOT start cleaning again.  Your body is trying to heal from the fall as well as heal the piercing itself.  Any more added to this and you will have major problems.

What you can do is put a warm compress over the injured nipple and if you have any crusties they will be softened and you can remove them with a Q-tip.  Do this as often as possible and this will help relieve some of the discomfort.

Otherwise, allow the body to heal them.
