I got my nose done with a needle in Aug 2006, it still has never healed.  Sometimes the bump is there and it is big and sometimes its gone, but it is very tempermental.  Yesterday it filled up with pus (first time for that), and my entire nose was red, hot and inflamed.  I popped it to relive the pressure and got a perscription for antibiotics today.  I have not taken out the stud, should I?  thanks

Very bad idea to pop it. Usually it comes back twice as bad.

Sounds like you do have an infection though so good that you got the antibiotics. See how they go.

Please do not remove the jewellery especially if you have an infection.  The piercing will actually give the infection somewhere to go and not stay inside the body.

If you decide to remove it after you have finished the antibiotics, then remove it.

You can do very warm water compress to help speed the inflammation for 10 minutes morning evening.

Keep in touch with progress.

Its been over 2 months since your antibiotic usage and if there was an infection, it should have cleared it up.

All we can say is that something is irritating the piercing and is the bump bloody or do you get blood coming from the tissues or bump?  Please be more specific.

What type of jewellery do you have in place and do you turn or move it in any way?
