I got my lip pierced about a month ago. The piercer only had a u shaped ring. On the inside of my lip I have had some white skin or something that appears and I could just bite it off at first and then it would go away.Today I looked at it and I had what looks like a bubble but it's hard on the bottom of the ring on the inside.

I have been rinsing out my mouth with salt water everyday when I brush my teeth twice a day. I also have been using mouthwash throughout the day mixed with water. Any ideas?

Please check our aftercare and follow it for the best results.  Salt water dries out the tissues and causes the whitish discolouration to appear.  Please stop using it.

Aftercare is only 3 weeks long and mouthwashing is only done for a week.  You are overrinsing and this is why your piercing is giving you problems.

The jewellery is not the problem.  Leave your piercing alone and let the body heal itself.
