Infected Nipple?

I got my left nipple pierced (at Blackstar) about four months ago. A week after the left, I got the right nipple pierced too. I followed the aftercare instructions to the letter. The right one is absolutely fine- if I accidently flip the ring up while changing I feel nothing. The right one, however...

There is discolouration around the holes (red purplish), the ring doesn't hang freely like the other one, there's pain if I accidently flip the ring, there are still some crusties and last night I woke up in pain. I looked at my nipple and the hole facing into my body was swollen, red, 'shiny' and there was a clear discharge mixed with blood. I rinsed it with warm water and rotated the ring thinking that maybe some crusties got knocked into the hole when sleeping and that's what was hurting. This morning, it looks much better, though it's still a bit sore.

I'm right handed, so I know that's not how I'm irritating the piercing. I had to go swimming in a public pool everyday for my summer job- maybe that's part of the problem?

Is this normal, or should I be seeking medical attention?

Could you please come into the shop and let the piercer see you.  It sounds like you have injured it when you sleep and this is why you are having problems.

Its not infected, but please come into the shop and let use take a look.

Thanks
