I had my industrial pierced in november and it was done with a barbell.
In January, I put 2 rings in it just before I put the rings in I developed 2 bumps and they are still there is there anyway to get rid of them?
I quit cleaning the piercing in december. they just dont seem to go away. They do get smaller at times but then they get bigger again. when I was cleaning it I was using warm water with sea salt; but sea salt has not touched the piercing since december.
If the bumps get smaller and then increase in size, what do you do to them?
If you were completely leaving them alone, then the body would slowly start to reabsorb the fibrous tissues and eventually the bumps would dissappear.
So please give us some information so that we can better assist you. There has to be something that is happening to the piercings in order for the bumps to change like that.
I am leaving it alone. just some days its bigger than the day before. maybe its just my body healing very slowly due to the fact that I have hemophilia.
I'm just worried that its gonna develop into a keloid. I went to 2 piercing shops and they told me to do the asprin paste. I havent done that cause when I leave it alone it seems to go down a little. One shop said that it is a keloid and I really doubt that it is.
Your condition may have an affect on your piercing and may slow down the healing. So just stay away from them and try not to bump them as this may increase the size of the bump too.
A keloid takes several months for fully form, right now, there is fluid in them. It does take some time for the bump to completely dissipate. Please be patient.
Do NOT use the asprin paste as it will do NOTHING to reduce the bump but it could cause more irritation and increase and delay the healing.
Give it another couple of weeks and write back.
well I know its gonna get bigger tommorrow cause I have an MRI and I have to put plastic ones in. I remember when I had my eyebrow pierced it took a while to heal so its probably from my condition
Your condition will definitely have an affect on the healing of your piercings.
At least you know of your condition and can understand what your body is going through.
Take care
