I got my industrial pierced one week ago. I have been cleaning it 2 times a day with warm water, q-tip, and the soap that I got from the parlor. They did pierce it with a barbell.
Now, here is my problem. Where the barbell sits into my ear (hole closest to the bottom of my ear) it has rubbed a raw spot into it, probably about 1 2 inch long. It is raw and bleeds when I clean it.
I have to lift my ear up in a weird way to actually get to that part. It is where the barbell rests. Now, I know that if they had of pierced it with 2 rings instead of the barbell then I would not have to worry about this but they did.
So, is there anything at all that I can do to help this out? It is very painful.
This is very bad placement and the problem is NOT going to go away. Whoever did this did not look into the way your ear was and to accommodate for the uneven areas.
Our only strong recommendation is to get 2 rings immediately. Your ear is not going to adjust to the barbell and will keep putting pressure on this spot and you will develop major problems.
Did you or the piercer decide where to put this barbell? If they decided, then you should return and show them their big mistake.
Thanks! I will go by the piercing place on Friday, thats the first chance I have. I know my ear swelled somewhat and I figured it was from the swelling and it would go down.
Oh well, thanks!
Good luck and we hope that things go well for you.
