Horizontal Hood Piercing

I recently got a horizontal hood piercing.  Basically my lips twist the ring to about a 45 degree angle when i walk around -- it isnt painful however I am worried about it rejecting or not healing correctly.

I heard that you can change your ring to a tear-shaped ring and it would limit the amount of twisting and pressure on the skin.

Is this correct?  And if so, do you sell this type of jewellry?

You did not tell us what diameter the ring is as this could be part of the problem.  The tear-shaped jewellery is NOT stable at all and the bead is easily popped off resulting in losing your piercing.  For that reason, we do not carry this type of jewellery.

The other problem may be that the piercing was done a little too high and therefore would be more likely to move in the manner you describe.  Without seeing the piercing it is difficult to say.

We would recommend getting a smaller diameter ring inserted, as this should at least reduce the movement sideways.
