ive had my nose piercing for a little longer then a year now and every now and then i get a bump and it takes like a month to go away and i clean it with isoprypol alcohol everyday because when i dont use it it seems like it comes back but it still does sometimes anyways
what should i do..?
OMG can somone reply? it would be nicee
I don't know why but it takes the administrators forever to answer sometimes.
You should not be putting alcohol on your piercing....I don't really know what to tell you except read the previous posts, they all say to leave your pierce alone. If you've had a reaccurring bump for so long you might want to let it close, heal, then repierce it. I had to do that because of so many problems that I had with bumps. It's so frustrating.
In your case, if you'be been putting alcohol on it for this long, then you may have really damaged it....I would try leaving it totally alone and see if things improve.
Good luck.
If you have a re-occuring bump then it could be something else causing it to appear. Maybe you have ill fitting jewellery and should get a piercer to custom bend a screw for you. This way it'll sit nicely in your piercing and shouldn't be putting any pressure on it.
Maybe you have a reaction to the material which it is made from???
Do you bump it??
Definately DO NOT use the alcohol. It's very bad for piercings, healed or fresh. Just warm water should be good enough.
well i did touch it alot to make sure it was all the way in and stuff
and right now im sick and it looks worse
but i think cleaning it with the alcohol so much might have messed it up but im going to try leaving it alone and if it doesnt go away soon im bout to just take it out
ok but dont expect miracles over night. Sometimes it can take 1-2weeks to see any improvements at all. Just be patient.
One of the reasons why we do not answer so many of the nose piercing problems is that we have said the same thing for all of them.
We do not have the time and energy to repeat ourselves when the same main points are said for every problem.
The bump no matter how formed, needs time to dissipate and if it keeps getting irritated, it will give you problems.
I got my nose pierced 6 years ago, it swelled so much could not see nose ring. the assistant at the store said it was swelling because I had a cold sore. ya right.
I kept with it and on the advice of a very helpful young man bought a beautiful $100 new nose ring, grit my teeth a lot and had new ring put in.
Swelling went down after about 2 weeks was fine for a few days then swelling again, very painful. Give up had it removed was left with a very noticeable scare on my nose.
Must say also had belly bottom done and no problem with that at all. But nose would not advise it at all.
It sounds like you are describing a piercing done with a gun at a boutique in the mall. I haven't heard of problems like yours here since Ontario banned the use of piercing guns on cartilage.
