okay this is going to be difficult to explain but im going to try my best. okay so i have had my nipples pierced for over a year with absolutely zero problems and they have been absolutely perfect and i love them dearly but in the past month or so they have gotten really messed up i know they arnt infected cause they don't hurt and the actual piercing itself is completely fine but the skin on my nipple had got itchy and I ended ripping through the skin and now it has gotten to the point where its dry but then the skin gets ripped off on my bra and then the skins exposed and is pinkish and that clear liquid that comes out when you cut yourself comes out and i know its meant to heal it but its driving me crazy i dont know if i should clean it or not clean it and i dont know if i should moisturize or not moisturize what do you sugges. should i start moisturizing it every day and stay away from wearing bras and stuff or should i start cleaning it im so confused but its keeps spreading cause cant stop itching it which i know i should probably stop doing but what do you think i can do and what should i do to prevent it from happening...
and when i think about it it started when i began to clean them again so could it be overcleaning??
ya i answered my own question it must be over cleaning cause ive been cleaning them like crazy since they started to get red haahah woops.......
For dry skin, moisturize. However, what do you mean by 'spreading'?
Are you experiencing similar dry skin anywhere else on your body?
Okay, this is gonna sound wierd but...it could be eczema or something similar. I had a similar rash like thing that oozed and ripped open from my clother, and your symptoms sure sounds like it.
I'm not sure that your piercing has anything to do with the rash. Maybe, check with a doctor?
We are very careful NOT to try to offer a diagnosis in this forum. Eczema is one of many possibilities, and a doctor with the ability to see the problems first hand, and to do the required testing, is the only way to definitively identify the condition.
