i got my industrial piercing done like 3 months ago. Since then i clean it with softsoap and Q-tips. I got it done right away with the barbell. The first time the barbell fell through the top hole as the barbell was not long enough for the healing process. So i went back got a better fitting one after about a week or so that i got it redone i noticed on the top hole i have a bump that looks like a blister. Inside of the ear where the hole is for the top piercing i have skin that grew around the barbel.
I was just wondering how i can get rid of these ugly scars or if this normal scarring?
It is not very common for a cartilage piercing to migrate so the barbell must have been very irritating on the piercing to cause migration.
You are describing severe irritation and damaged cartilage. Since we cannot see your piercing, we strongly recommend seeking medical attention. You may require surgery to remove the excessive fibrous tissue formed because of the damage.
