I'm planning on getting my tongue pierced in a couple weeks. My tongue is a little shorter than the average tongue and I do have this (frenulum)webbing that is pretty close to the tip of my tongue?
Will I still be able to get it pierced? I heard it could be pierced a little off the side on an angle? would it cost me more complications if I do it?
I hope getting it pierced doesnt affect my speech.
Please Help me. I need some advice to know if this something I can do or not.
If your tongue is too short, some piercing shops may not have the proper skill to do the piercing.
Go into a shop and speak to a piercer and get some questions answered so that you can make an informed decision about getting this piercing done.
Yes, it can affect your speech, again, its possible because of the short tongue.
The problem is that too many piercers are self taught and do most piercing incorrectly. If you are not confident with the piercer you are speaking to, please, do not get this piercing done. There is damage that can be caused if done incorrectly.
