I have a friend coming down in a few weeks for a visit.I was really hoping I could get my tongue pierced while he was in town. But we already have plans to go to the bar that night. I was wondering if its ok to drink after getting it pierced?
We DO NOT RECOMMEND drinking for 5 days after getting your tongue pierced. The reason is simple, the piercing is actually an injury and if you drink, you can slow down the clotting process and this will cause increased swelling. If the swelling continues, you can close your throat.
Either get the piercing or go drinking!!! You cannot do both.
