Define "leave it alone"

Like many, I'm dealing with the bump. I tried tea tree oil, sea salt soaks, even aspirin paste before I read to just leave it alone. It hasnt' gotten better, it hasn't gotten worse. I imagine it will take some time to heal from the  unintentional abuse.

Am I leaving it alone enough? I got it done about a month or so ago, and it healed with out issue. I wash my face like I normally would, twice a day, not paying any different attention to the stud, aside from avoiding snags.

When I use my finger or a q-tip to clean out the lovely things in my nose, the stud will be pushed from the inside, which causes it to come out of the hole a little bit.  Is this movement going to keep the bump around longer? I thought about holding the stud down with a finger while taking care of business in the nostril, but then I'd be touching it  uncessarily...if this is going to be causing more harm than good, how do I deal with my nasal hygiene?

May seem like a lot of questions, but like everyone else, i want this bump gone asap.

Thank you so much

Problem is that you did a lot of damage in the first place and your body is still trying to deal with that stuff.  We can suggest doing very warm compresses 2 times a day morning evening for about 10 minutes.

This should help calm down the tissues and get the body to deal with the bump.

Keep in touch with progress.
