I was wondering, what is the right type of jewerly and size to change a not fully healed piercing to? I still have the "bump" and it goes away and once it does then the jewelery starts pushing outward then I get the bump again so I figure I need to change the jewerly. I cannot go back to who pierced it because I went to them once already and they are the ones who caused the bump in the first place!! (by trying to adjust it, they did it too soon the piercing kept "catching" each time he tried to put it back in the hole, which caused the bump to flare up).

So yeah, what's the right type of jewerly to get (and from where) and the size? Thanks in advance!!!!

We cannot say what size (gauge) you were pierced at so we cannot tell you what to change it to.  We use 18g nostril screws, 5 16" length with a 2mm diameter head piece.  This seems to be satisfactory for many of our clients.  There are a few who want something even smaller and there are many stores (like jewellery shops) that carry them but you will have to look around.

We have realized that many places use the same type of nostril screw but in the 3 8" length which can stick out quickly and cause problems.  This may be part of your problem.

We hope we have helped some.  If you need further information, please write back.
