I had my nose pierced about a month or little more ago. It was fine that Saturday that I had it done-it ended up coming out when I cleaned it on Sunday. I was able to get it back in with minimal effort. Later that Monday it came out during cleaning again. I wasn't able to get it back in after trying and trying (think irritation) and ended up having it repierced (on Monday too).
Since then I had been cleaning it with the H2Ocean (recommended by piercer) 3-4 times a day with a q-tip and such. I noticed the bump a week after re-piercing, so its been there for about 3-4 weeks. It doesn't hurt and isn't overly large, but I know its there.
I never pick at it or touch it. After using that H2Ocean for so long, my nose is starting to peel. What is that about? Continue to NOT use H2Ocean? Anything to stop peeling? Recommended suggestions for cleaning?
By the way, i have a 20g nose screw with the ball on top and no longer using the H2Ocean as of yesterday.
H2Ocean is a salt water product and since this product dries out the tissues, you would expect to see some peeling if you used it for that length of time.
The body is now trying to get rid of the irritation and the peeling will continue for about a week or so. Just use a warm water compress for about 10 minutes a day and then take a Q-tip and remove the crusties formed.
This will help calm down the irritation and help with the peeling problem. Then the body will start to work on reducing the size of the bump. The body can only do one thing at a time and it will first get rid of the irritation.
Have some patience, you overcleaned for a month and the body will do its job of healing.
Keep in touch with your progress.
