Hi, I live in Germany and got both my nipples pierced yesterday. Immediately after piercing the piercer put bandages on both of them and told me to leave them on for 24 hours. She told me that for aftercare to use bactrine spray once a day after showering to clean them for the first 2 weeks. Everything I've read though says just to use antibacterial soap. What is the proper way to care for these new piercings without overcleaning them? Please help, I don't want to ruin my new piercings.
Please do not use Bactine as its not intended to be used on any piercings. It will dry out the area and this will not be comfortable for your nipples. They will become chapped and become extremely painful.
Please follow our aftercare which is on this forum. You also did not tell us what type of jewellery (rings or barbells) she used.
By now you should be leaving the piercings alone. If you notice that you have developed bumps, please do not keep cleaning as this will only irritate them more. Leave them alone and let the body heal itself.
