Hiya, has anyone got any info on the material bioflex, i think they use it in retainers. I have had my nose pierced for 2 months now, I am going to leave my existing surgical steel nose screw in for a further 3 months and If I stay "bump" free in that time I hope to put a bioflex screw in, are they easy to put in and does the skin grow over them. Thanks for any advice
Havent had personal experience but a friend who has had her nose piercing for about 8months or so had put one in and she loves it. Its really comfy and it has made her nose piercing alot better.
However everyone is different.
Hiya, well I got the bioflex nose stud, I ordered 2, 1 stone slightly smaller than the other, so about a month ago I decided to change it. I have had my nose pierced for 3 months now, I had problems with the bump but after being bump free for over a month I decided to change it. So I got the slightly bigger stone, sterilised it took my other screw out, which felt really weird, and attempted, with very shaky hands to insert the new one, to no avail it fell on the floor and with it being clear I couldnt find it. So I started to panic, Im wandering round the house looking for the other nose screw with nothing in my piercing. Got the other one sterilised it and this one popped in no problem, it bled a bit and was sore for a few days and I was dreading getting the bump back but a month on and its doing ok the bioflex is so comfy I carnt feel it and it is so dainty and cute I love it. I would suggest not changing your nose screw until you bump has settled down for a bit as you dont want to irritate it any more, I feel much better for not having a piece of metal in my nose. Glad to read that your bump has finally cleared up. If you have no problem with the bioflex material, great.
We have heard many things from different people. Everyone is different and the only way you will know if something is good for you is to try and see. Just wait until you are problem free.
