I had posted this before but rec'd no replies, so I'm trying it again.
I have the bump. It's about the size of my stud, nad pushes the stud to the side. For the last 3 weeks I had sea salt soaked, used aspiring paste, tried popping it, and tea tree oiled the hell out of it.
For the last 4 days I have left it completely alone, but haven't seen a change. I am guessing it's because of the abuse i had inflicted on it.
My question is when I clean the inside of my nostril, whether with my finger of with a q-tip, I will end up pushing the stud from the inside, causing it to come out of the hole a bit, then i will push it down with my finger....is this going to continue the abuse, and therefore keep the bump around?
It doesn't seem like it's getting worse, but it's sure not getting better at all.... I don' t think it's possible for anyone to completely and utterly leave thier nose stud alone, but obviously I want to do the best I can....
thank you...
If you've been abusing your piercing for awhile, then it might take awhile to see a change. I'd say give it a week. From what you say you have done to it, your pierce is likely PISSED!! Tea tree oil is some strong stuff.
Your pierce is probably so mad about all the stuff you've been doing to try to heal it that is too busy fending off the irriation, rather than trying to heal the bump pierce.
Actually, if the bump is not getting bigger, redder, it's probably a good sign since if it where getting more irritation it would most likely react. It's like your body has to realize that your not going to do anything to it anymore before the bump shrinks.
As far as the question you had about pushing the stud out when cleaning the inside of your nose....not sure if that could be enough to bother it. I would say don't clean it unless ABSoLUTELY necessary, because if your pierce is already irritated then something SO minor can cause it trouble.
Just my advice.
good luck.
