I've had my eyebrow piercing for nearly a year, and for that entire time I've been fighting with a pussing red bump that seems to come and go as it pleases, despite my efforts to avoid irritating the area.
Now, my other problem is that I also have a standard ear cartilage piecring (2 years old), and an industrial (currently unattached by a barbell, 1 year old) on my other ear, all of which have these same bumps. The eyebrow is the worst of them.
Is it possibly I may be having a slight allergic reaction to the surgical steel? I found out recently that this problem has occured previously in my family Help!
The bump is NOT caused by an allergic reaction. It is caused by severe irritation. Are you still cleaning or moving the jewellery? With regards to the other piercings, what are you doing for them now? Do you clean them? Move the jewellery? Sleep or play with them?
If you are still cleaning these piercings then, your problem is overcleaning and we can assist you in fixing these problems. Please write back soon with your answers so that we can better assist you in resolving these issues.
