I got both nipples pierced about 6 weeks ago. Round barbells, 12g 1 2" diam. I was told to clean with sea salt and distilled water solution 2-3 x's per day and soak in same for 10-15 mins 1-2 times per day.
I have been doing this until today. My right nipple is harder than the left and I am unable to spin the round barbell even after a long shower or soaking.
I have no discharge from that (right) nipple. I have minor discharge from left (clear to light yellow). I am able to move round barbell in left nipple.
Should I contact a doctor about my right nipple or is it possible that I have just irritated my right nipple?
Please help.
Salt water does NOT clean. Salt water irritates and you overcleaned the piercings as well.
This is why you are experiencing problems. At this point, you do not need to move or clean the piercings. In the shower just allow the warm water to run over them. If you do have discharge, the shower will soften them and you can then take a Q-tip and remove the crusties.
Other than that, please just leave them alone. Moving the jewellery is only irritating the piercings and this could become problematic later on. In other words, you have irritated both of them but at this point only one is letting you know.
