My girlfriend has had her nipples pierced for about 5 years now and they still get lots of crusties around them and they get so sore sometimes she can't have anything touch them even her shirt.
She doesn't clean them everyday but every 3 or 4 days but sometimes by then there is so mush crust she has to soak them for like 15 min. just to be able to move them up and down let alone back and forth (she has hoops). what should she do?
Well, if she is still having crusties forming daily, then she is definitely doing something to them.
At this point, all she should have to do is let warm water run over them and this will soften any crusties. Afterwards, she should take a Q-tip and remove the crusties without moving the jewellery at all. Part of what we are understanding is that she moves the rings and this irritates the piercings.
When you state that she soaks them for 15 minutes, in what type of solution does she soak in and how often?
Part of the crusties are probably caused by lactation and this is normal. Again, do not move the jewellery and let warm water run over the nipples.
