Eyebrow Maintenance

At the end of the two weeks, you should not have to clean your eyebrow piercing any more. If it looks dry, moisturize your eyebrow with a regular moisturizer. Remember not to clean even in the shower.

Barbells should not be placed in your eyebrow until it is certain that your piercing is healthy and stable. Generally, this means at least six to eight weeks with the ring before the change. When a barbell is chosen, it should be properly fitted: too short will constrict your eyebrow tissue and swelling will result, and too long will make the barbell catch on hair or glasses and injury to your piercing will result. A typical eyebrow piercing requires an 8mm to 10 mm bent shaft between the balls. The best way to fit a bent barbell is to measure the length and position of your piercing with an accurate pair of calipers. Fitted barbells for your eyebrow should be bent, not straight, to prevent stretching of the skin over the shaft with the balls pressing into your forehead.

Eyebrow piercing: 14g 3/8-inch (fitted) barbell with 5mm threaded Niobium balls

Established eyebrow piercing with a 14g 3/8" curved barbell. A straight barbell is NOT suitable for an eyebrow. The curved shaft allows the balls to sit comfortably without their pressing into the skin beside the piercing. Threaded Niobium balls can be colored to suit individual taste.
Eyebrow piercing: 14g 5/16-inch Niobium captive bead ring with 4mm white Cats Eye bead

Established eyebrow piercing with a 14g 5/16" blue Niobium ring. Niobium rings can be colored to suit individual taste. The bead illustrated is a 4mm white Cat's Eye.
